Project: Moss Landing Power Plant, Moss Landing, Monterey County, CA

Description:
The Moss Landing Power Plant is a natural gas fired facility. The Foxboro Group was hired by Duke Energy to update the controls and instrumentation for the plant’s existing gas furnace boiler units to increase their efficiency.

Foxboro enlisted Contra Costa Electric for the installation of conduit, cabling and the process instrumentation for the existing power plant; combining the newly constructed gas fired turbine combined cycle units with the existing units to reach a 2,500-mega watt output for the plant.
